WATFORD CELEBRATION
Watford Colosseum,Rickmansworth Road, Watford, WD17 3EX
On Monday 3rd May, Watford Celebration 2009 will be open for all to enjoy.
This event brings together all the diverse cultures, faiths and talents of the Watford area in a day of fun and friendship. On this day you will experience the rich diversity of this town.
There will be a variety of performances from our talented ethnic and artistic groups. Numerous stalls will inform you of the various organisations dedicated to making Watford a safe and family friendly town inclusive of all faiths, cultures and nationalities. In the sacred space area you will be able to explore each faith groupīs beliefs and values. There will be actiivities for children of all ages and an abundance of food from all our communities.
All offers from the community for food, performances, childrenīs entertainment, stalls and speakers in the sacred space are still welcome (up till two weeks before the event).
The event has been kindly sponsored by Mayor Dorothy Thornhill and St Michaelīs Catholic High School and Specialist College. Entry is FREE and all are welcome.
Enjoy a wonderful day at the Colosseum on the 3rd May! Doors open at 11 until 6pm. From 11am-4.30pm is the main Celebration event, but from 4.30-6pm the battle of the bands ensues! Show the World is the finals of this youth competition.
Look out for the yellow banner on the Colosseum, and visit our website for further information. A programme and timings will appear about two weeks before the event, but there is much to look at already about the many people who are participating..
