HERTFORDSHIRE YEOMANRY AND ARTILLERY HISTORICAL TRUST6 Roundwood Drive, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL8 7JZThe Trust is a registered charity, the aim of which is to collect, record and make publicly available the history of Yeomanry and Artillery units of the Auxiliary (later Territorial) Forces raised in Hertfordshire from 1794 to the present day. Home Guard units raised in Hertfordshire from 1940-44 and 1952-57 are also of interest to the Trust, as are the Army´s Cadet Forces. The Trust´s collection of uniforms, badges, weapons, etc is held by Hitchin Museum and its archive of records and photographs by Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies. The comprehensive published history of the units covered by the Trust is now complete with volumes published in 1994, 1996, 1999 and 2003. Col. Sainsbury is available to lecture on a range of local military history subjects. Hart Books (Welwyn) is an affiliate body existing, inter alia, to publish the history of the units.
