SANDPIT THEATRE, THE (ST ALBANS)Sandringham School, The Ridgeway, St Albans, AL4 9NXThe SandPit Theatre is a multi-purpose performance venue which opened in December 2001. The SandPit is based on the campus of Sandringham School and serves St Albans and the surrounding area. The main performance hall seats 268 people on a raked seating system. Provision is made for wheelchair users. The complex also consists of a public foyer, toilets, box office and cafe / bar. The SandPit seeks to encourage and attract local amateur drama and music groups as well as touring professional companies.
