The RSPB: * Works with decision makers on behalf of birds and the environment; * Researches wildlife problems and promotes practical solutions; * Protects, restores and manages important areas for wildlife across the UK; * Works internationally through a global conservation partnership called Birdlife International; * Shares expertise and knowledge to help young and old enjoy the natural world; * Tackles wildlife crime and habitat loss; * Works with landowners and farmers to help countryside birds. The RSPB offers a ´Free Talks´ service to community organisations on various topics associated with their work. Topics that might typically be covered in the talks are: * The work of the RSPB; * Introduction to garden birds; * Farmland birds; * Stop climate chaos; * Save the Albatross. * Gardening for wildlife The Community Talks Officer would be willing to put together talks to meet specific needs and can provide all the equipment required but would normally ask the group to arrange the venue and to ensure that there is a 13-amp socket available. It is prefered that the talk be given to a minimum audience of about 20 people. There is no cost for the talks but donations to the charity are welcomed.
