WILDLIFE PONDS. 5 JUNE 2010.Epping Forest Field Centre, IG10 4AFThis day course is for those interested in learning about the diversity of life in freshwater ponds. Epping Forest has around 100 temporary and permanent ponds with a fantastic biodiversity. The course will be “hands-on“ in style and there will be ample opportunity to carry out sampling techniques at several ponds. The diversity of the freshwater pond habitat will be examined from a practical viewpoint, addressing the identification and biology of typical freshwater specimens. This course runs from 9.30am to 4pm and includes lunch at a local public house. £39. Level: beginners.
