CAPITAL ARTS CHILDREN'S CHOIRCapital Arts Studio, Wyllyotts Centre, Wyllyotts Place, Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, Herts, EN6 2HNThe Capital Arts Children´s Choir is regarded as one of the finest children´s choirs in the country. The choir was founded in 1991 by its director, Kathleen Shanks, and is in much demand; singing in major choral works at concert halls in London and throughout the UK with leading orchestras and choirs. Other performances include opera, musicals, recitals, film work and recordings. The choir has a number of West End shows and operas to its credit and has performed in the Royal Albert Hall operas for Raymond Gubbay Ltd for the past seven years. The choir records for Simon Cowell as the Angelis choir. The Choir has toured extensively and has broadcast on radio and television in the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, China and Russia. The choir has recently returned from a successful recital tour to New York where the children gave a number of recitals and also appeared on the Good Morning America breakfast TV show. The choir has invitations to sing in Japan, New York and Toronto next year. The Capital Arts Children´s Choir has performed a number of times before royalty and state leaders, in this country & abroad. Performances include a Royal Variety Show in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. The choir has a busy season of concerts, recitals, operas, TV work, filming and recordings planned for the 2008 - 2009 season. The choir will release its much awaited CD ´Relections´ in December 2008
