ALPINE GARDEN SOCIETY (HERTFORDSHIRE GROUP)13 King Harry Lane, St Albans, Herts, AL3 4ASThe Alpine Garden Society (AGS) is dedicated to the study and growth of plants from the worldīs mountians and caters for both ordinary gardeners and specialists. The Society meets on the fourth Saturday in the month at 3.00pm with a series of monthly lectures from the end of September until June. Lecturers are specialist nurserymen, plant hunters and travellers with a camera from the AGSīs list of experts. During the year there is also a plant exchange, a competition open to all, regular palnt sales, a raffle each meeting and book sales. There is a small meeting fee, which includes refreshments.
